2nd gen. Rodeo fuel sending unit / fuel pump

I see many people having problems with the fuel sending unit and all these write ups on how to fix it. i also see the sending unit being sold on e-bay. the best solution to this problem is listed below

the fuel sending unit is covered by the power train warrenty! do not let the dealer tell you otherwise! call Isuzu directly if you have to.

this way you also get a new fuel pump

No offense there volkswagon newbie, but it's quite obvious you haven't a clue, no one here will take your reply as anything but worthless drivel, if this is the quality type of post we can expect from you I'm sure you'll be a valued member of the forum

Re: 2nd gen. Rodeo fuel sending unit / fuel pump

read my other post and figure out what the problem is, I am having such a tough time trying to stay away from the dealer with this fuel problem.

and lets not lose sight of the fact that this forum is to help those with car problems and not to jump to conclusions.

Re: 2nd gen. Rodeo fuel sending unit / fuel pump

It's too bad that your having problems, but we didn't loose sight of the purpose of the forum, you did. We all have problems with our Rodeos, that's why we're here, and I think some of the best people are here helping others. If the forum turns into a CF (cluster f#@%) and all we start getting is useless replies and people saying crap this and POS that we may loose these knowledgeable people. This forum has saved me hundreds in dealer costs, and I help out when I can, and get upset when others abuse it.

Aaron, this is true for those that have the Isuzu with the big warranty. But for others with the 98's and 99's, and especially those with Hondas it's a do it yourself job.

The best place to get some good info is here: parts numbers and a writeup. The part is about 40 dollars from St Charles Isuzu
