Question Shift Points

My 94 Villager is having a hard time shifting between 1st and 2nd. Is there a sensor that controls the shift points? I do not want to take it to a transmission shop if there is just a sensor that I can change.

Thanks

I am having the same problem. I've just replaced the Throttle Position Sensor and it didn't help. Someone said somthing about a solenoid. Could somebody tell me where it's located.

I took my van to a transmission place and they did a free inspection to see if the problem was electrical or mechanical. They determined that it was mechanical and wanted $350 to take it apart and tell me what was wrong. I said no it was not worth that much to me.

Re: Shift Points

If it aint broke don't fix it. Transmissons are like the bermuda triangle no one really knows whats what. Its a guessing gam no two cars will have the same problem.
