Re: Canada's Dry Winter

At least the person who put up the sign had a sense of humor! I wonder how long it was until some politically correct idiot insisted the sign be taken down.

Re: Canada's Dry Winter

See, that kind of stuff is harmless fun. If it was in the US, there would be a hue and cry and some sort of adverse publicity and someone might get fired over it.

That would happen quicker in Canada... Canadas a socialist country. Everything is SO politically correct so nobody gets offended. Atleast in Southern Ontario. Theres never even any "Merry Christmas" signs so they dont offend any jews or muslims. It's always "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons Greetings"

In southern Ontario, yeah. Quite a lot different East and West though.

Also, just a minor correction, Canada is a parlimentary democracy, a sort of sub-class of democratic socialism - we have a much more socialist style (health care, etc) than the US, but executed democratically. Also, capitalism is still a huge factor in Canada, which isn't in socialism.

Yeah we have that here, minus the "christmas specials" and the "christmas movies" and the "christmas carols" and "carols by candle lights". But other than TV, it's "seasons greetings".

Makes sense though.
