Question 93 pontiac is gushing coolant. Help!

I just changed my water pump, because my car was leaking excessive amounts of coolant. My alternator is also acting up. I don't know if it's from the coolant spraying all over the place. Is there a drain valve near the bottom of the water pump? Is there a hose near the bottom of the water pump? If so, I want to check to see if it's cracked.

After I changed the water pump, it still leaked and spray all over the place. Help!!!!!

I would look for a cracked or broken hose. Somewhere by the coolant or the water pump.

Ok let me try this, On the 3300v6 there is a bypass hose that sits on the top of the water pump and below the alt. On thing that can happen is that were the hose plugs into the intake can get brittle and crack, or break. Its made of composite material (next to the coolant sensor) any way thats a part that should be replaced. they sell them at auto zone sometimes in there help section. (Its metal)
