Re: 2 1989 Camaro Rs Swaping motors

just swapping the block? or the complete engine?(fuel/ignition,etc etc.) What engines are they?
If they are the same engines (89RS come with a 305tbi or a 2.8mpfi) Its just a matter of pulling one, and putting another one in its place..use colored tape to mark EVERYTHING (wires, hoses, etc. etc.) so you know where they go back.. if you've never done it before, take lots of pictures, it helps..

After you've marked it all, start unhooking everything and getting it out of the way.. (you'l probably need to take your hood off) take out the engine, and put the new one in and hook everything back up.. its pretty simple once you get in there..

BTW, its a good idea to change a few things on the good engine while you have it out.. such as, the rear main seal, oil pan gasket, things like that..

have I missed anything?
