Ok i am kinda bored so i figured, post abou what you wanna do to your future car...I plan on starting with a stock/near stock 1994 Honda civic Si Coupe with the DOHC V-Tec Engine...plan to spray the underbody with rhino lining, or something similar, cuz the road spray and salts in New York can be terrible on a car...first thing i wanna do is performance, plan to first install the GReddy turbo kit with the front mount intercooler, plan to put a new metal gaskets it, head gasket, and all that happy horse shit, plan to dress up the engine with wire looms, new hoses, all red black and chrome, underdrive pulleys, maybe new camshafts, if i can, new cam gears...don't know how that would interfer with the V-Tec, plan to put maybe forged pistons and new rings in it...maybe overhaul the whole engine, depending on the mileage and the condition of it...full exhuast from GReddy...on the body, i wanna shave everything, if i decide to...not sure yet...anyways...i wanna paint the car bright yellow, and set it off with carbon fiber hood, truck, and body kit, if i can't get a carbon fiber body kit, i'll paint the bodykit i get carbon fiber...for that awesome look, the wing will be carbon fiber, and i will paint the stands yellow, rims i'm going 18 inch, not sure of the style or brand yet, but probably Enkei, Konig, or something, with toyo/yokohama tires...Tein Struts/Shocks and Springs with strut bars, and rear floor bar...want that stiff feel...on the inside, i plan to do it totally different, because i have noticed alot of tuners have the same look on the inside as the outside...so i plan to do it black, red and carbon fiber on the inside...so when you open the door...it's like BAM...Grant steering wheel, short shift kit, APC seats, custom fit roll cage, carbon fiber dash, or just black, black gauges, red backlights, red vents, and red LEDs inside them...i wanna have a radar detector, but molded into the dash...i wanna take it apart, place the front sensor in the fron window, then run the rear sensor to the back window, and have the lights in the dash, with an off and on switch...i think it would be tight and different Anyways...if ya have any objections, or some ideas, or even some problems you see with this, reply...or even if you want to put some positive/negitive comments about it, then hit it up...i need all the help i can get
...And Yes I Did Change it...EX to Si, And the struts/shocks Last edited by Redneck12095; 01-25-2005 at 03:12 AM. |

Re: Plans For a 94 Civic EX with the V-Tec
Don't get that rust proofing spray crap from the dealership, whatever you do. My friend works at a dealership and says that stuff is garbage, think he might have said it even does something bad (can't recall exactly what he said at the moment).
It might be a little too much, but ever think about getting carbon fiber/ kevlar parts? I'd have the yellow mixed with the CF, but it'd be more expensive to do. I wouldn't get a CF dash though, it's way to shiny and will blind you when you're driving in the sun. Maybe just a black Civic dash or an Integra dash? The radar detector would be more for looks, because if the thing goes off; the cop already has tagged your car. But the more expensive detectors actually have external sensors, so you could just buy one of those and hook up the sensors how you want to. But you'd still have to get the rest of the detector into the dash some how. |

Re: Plans For a 94 Civic EX with the V-Tec
i work at the honda dealership and the stuff we use for undercoating is good but its also not very cold here and we dont get much ice/snow so it might be different where you are.
as for performance, it seems like you have a good plan but i would do some research first before going into the NOPI catalog i could find some things in your ideas that would i wouldnt recommend. but its your car not mine.

Re: Re: Plans For a 94 Civic EX with the V-Tec
about the radar you are right, theres a reason why it goes off, and that is because he has his gun facing right at you... if you are speeding and see it going off, you will be pulled over anyways.
but what is seems to be happening is that it helps when you get pulled over. first time i was pulled over in my truck going 13 over i got a ticket each time afterwards i have yet to get it. and i got it after my first ticket. my speeds over the speed limit: 18 17 15 19 it seems as if it scares the cop away im not sure why tho...

Re: Plans For a 94 Civic EX with the V-Tec
sounds nice, the only thing that stood out to me that i would change, is the 18 inch rims. it looks sweet, but if you're gonna put some aftermarket teins on there, your tires will rub the innner fenders if you're not careful.
