Lightbulb Can't open my hood!

I am having trouble opening my hood on my 1999 Explorer. I am able to pull the screw driver forward, but the hood does not pop. Any thoughts? My battery is dead as we live in Maine and had a blizzard today with -20 degree weather. Once started, I think I need a new battery. The cable is either stretched or frozen because the hood release does nothing.

Re: Can't open my hood!

wow thats a tough one.........try pushing it in the garage if you have one and leting it warm alil,
or use a heater or something.

I'm in the south and it doesn't get that cold.

Otherwise u might just have to wait till it warms up.

Do they make u work in that weather?
