engine assembly

I have a bunch of engine parts laying around, enough to put one together. My only dilemma is, most of the parts are 2.8L parts, minus the heads, but I have a perfectly good set of 3.1L heads. Does anybody know if I can take a set of heads from the 3.1L in drop them on a 2.8L block? Obviously, they'll bolt right up, I just want to make sure I'm not screwing with compression ratios, etc. I have a friend who needs a 2.8 for a baretta, so if this will work, I'll just put it together for him. Thanks

Good question. I would say yes. But not 100%. If the head gasket is the same part# in both gasket sets, I'd say you've got a match.

Re: engine assembly

Try this one on the 60degreeV6.com forums, they'll be more knowledgeable on this than I am, but I'm fairly sure they'll work. But try it there as well.
