97 cav 2.2 act's like the cat is cloged up ,half throttle is all she will do.
any thing over that the motor will stumble,it will not back fire...
i took off exhaust at manafold, made made no differance, also changed plugs, wires.coil packs.had the box the coil packs bolt to checked out at advance auto they said it was ok ,checked fuel pump pressure at tank 60 psi droped to 35 when power shut off,new fuel filter, replaced p.c.m no change.......one weird clue while engine is at idle,I can switch plug wires 2 and 3 runs the same I can also switch plug wires 1 and 4 no change in the way the motor runs while moving the throttle.also did compression test 180 in all cyl 's

Does sound like the inerds of the cat have collapsed and are blocking the exhaust flow! I woudn't go swapping plug wires around by the way.
