2003 axle / wheel / tire noise
Before you replace your tires because of excessive tire noise please check out Technical Service Bulletin 03-5-5 (0355) dated March 17, 2003, titled Drivetrain - Premature Axle Bearing Wear. The roaring sound from the prematurely worn axles sounds just like bad tires. I replaced all the tires twice within 45 days only to have the noise remain. I finally did a WEB search and located this "Silent Recall TSB". After 36000 miles it's your $500+ problem.
