Re: Evo 7 Vs GSX?

larger turbo and better flowing head and tuning to take advantage of both.

or how about a completely different engine?

the 4G63's from the EVO 4- current is a different 4G63 from the EVo 1-3.
the evo 1-3's engine which is also found in the first gen gallant vr-4 or DSM only made from 220-250hp so thats about right.

just look at engine shots from any evo from 4-8 and look at a eclipse engine.

they look completely different, and they're not even mounted in the car the same way.

the cam sprockets on the eclipse 4G63 are on the driver's side of the car

the cam sprockets on the evo 4-8 4G63's are on the passenger side of hte car. totally different engines.

but a 420A has the exhuast ports on the right side of the engine, and so does the 2nd gen 4G63.

the 1st gen 4G63 has the exhuast port on the right side of the engine. totally different.

just look at the picture, even the valve cover looks different. the evo 4-8's 4G63 have a narrow valve cover, the DSM's valve cover is fat and flat. the rocker arms on the first gen's are hugh compared to the EVO 4-8's. if you didn't know the name of the EVO4-8's engine you would've never known its also a 4G63 by looking at it.
