If you plan on doing an engine swap, i wouldnt suggest buying performance parts such as an exhaust for the motor thats leaving anyway..

ya i wasn't going to get anything major

but i just wanted an exhuast for sound, i guess i'll just do what you suggested, i'll throw the money into something i'd keep like suspension or chassis

are there any problems that the mr2 are prone to that i should address right away, [like 240sx and rust on the trunk]

Re: new to mr2's

overheating. usually just air in coolant lines, most mechanics don't seem to know how to bleed properly.

welcome to MR2's, people are usually pretty friendly round here.

i'm in the same sort of position, will be doing engine swap but want to upgrade other parts. you could base your exhaust round the new engine, presumably a turbo? or you could get ancilliary pieces like suspension...
