you should read the Neverending Story, it might help(or further fuck you up).

"...one day Lake Foamingbroth wasn't there anymore - it was gone. See?"
"You mean dried up?" Gluckuk inquired.
"No," said the will-o'-the-wisp. "Then there'd be a dried up lake. But there isn't. Where the lake used to be there's nothing - absolutely nothing. Now do you see?"
"A hole?" The rock chewer grunted.
"No, not a hole," said the will-o'-the-wisp despairingly. "A hole, after all, is something. This is nothing at all."
The three messengers exchanged glances.
"What - hoo - does this nothing look like?" asked the night-hob.
"That's just what's so hard to describe," said the will-o'-the-wisp unhappily. "It doesn't look like anything. It's - it's like - oh, there's no word for it."
"Maybe," the tiny suggested, "when you look at the place, it's as if you were blind."
The will-o'-the-wisp stared openmouthed.

Re: A question

From a historical point of view, nothing can't exist, but you can represent nothing with something. For example, the number 0.

Re: A question

In Conan, Thulsa Doom's followers sought nothing, and nothingness. Is that death? We don't know.

But philisophically, nothing must exist because something does; and the concept of something would not have anything to compare with and would become meaningless if nothing did not exist.

Scientifically, nothing does not exist. Even the lack of all matter is called a vacuum, which is something.

If you're speaking in antiquated English, you could say something like, "Is there nothing that can help me?" Which, in this usage indicates there is in fact something that may help the speaker but indicates that the speaker is thinking quite negatively of the situation. On the other hand, the statement "Nothing can help you now" indicates that, in fact, you're screwed which is what I believe some of the earlier posts opined about you.
