Unhappy buzzing sound when accelerating

Hey wassup everyone, I dunno if I should be worried about this but just recently I've been hearing this buzzing noise whenever I accelerate especially from 0-30mph. I've never heard this sound before. It sounds like its coming from the exhaust? I'm not sure. I hear it from inside the car pretty clearly. The sound goes like this......I accelerate...buzzzz....normal revving noise....i accelerate again.....buzzzz....and normal revving noise. Any insight as to what it is? Is it cause my engine is getting old? Its a 96 with 96k on it.

My car makes that buzzing noise but only for the first run of the morning. Its pretty weird. Check the shield on the header...it could possibly be loose.

if you stand directly infront of your engine and look down and just behind the radiator is going to be the header with a metal sheild on it...see if its loose.

hey guys, the buzzing sound is getting louder now. The buzzing sound is deep but buzzy (throaty?) sounding now. it used to only be when i was pressing on the gas that the sound was heard, now it stays around for a while until the car isnt trying to accelerate anymore. what u guys think it is?

Nah its not the shield of my headers......thats firmly in tact.

please help

Did you check to see if you have any holes in your muffler or exhaust pipe?

its more than likely your exhaust. check your headers and see if the gaskets are gone or its loose.
