drive cam

i don't really grisp the concept of drive cam. can someone explain to me what drive cam is and how it works?

yah, i think it's the drive shaft in the motor. i saw ppl talking about it, so wanted to know more.
from what i've read, i think what they're talking about is some kind of modification that ppl do. it said something about easier tunning or something.
