96 Sierra Belt Squeaking

My 96 Sierra Z-71 has a small problem with the belts squeaking too much. I spray belt dressing on the belts and pulleys at least 2 times a week, and it lasts probably about 2 or 3 days then they will start to squeak again. It isn't a loud squeak, but just enough to annoy me while driving.

Is there anything I can do besides spraying dressing?
Grease?
Should I consider getting a new belt?

Thanks for your help!

Jason

Re: 96 Sierra Belt Squeaking

I suggest getting a new belt and cleaning all the pulleys with alcohol or something to get all the crap/belt particles out of them. The cleaner you can get them the less noise.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to call our family mechanic and make an appointment to get it replaced and see what happens.

Thanks!

Jason
