heater blower motor????
Ok, a friend of mine has an 89 isuzu trooper. He went to take it for a ride today and now the heater fan is not working. The fan itself isn't froze up, and the fuses are all good. What I was wondering is, is there an inline fuse somewhere along the line that could be bad. Or is there something else that we're just not seeing. Would appreciate and input. Thanks.

Its probably the fan switch on the heater control. Its a lever type that moves left to right and its probably worn out. I got a few extra weeks out of mine by lifting up in the lever and wedging it with a matchbook when the fan came on. Later I just removed the switch and hot wired it so it came on when you turned on the heat or air, but I found that without the switch the a/c compressor did not come on. The switch is not expensive if you have to get it at the dealer (I got mine at the junk yard) but its a pain to replace. Remember to only pull the front panel out enough to get to the switch, or you can mess up the control cables like I did.

Re: heater blower motor????
is it just me or do these fans just blow...ha. seriously though, there just isn't a lot of air coming out of the vents. my brothers 88 is the same way. i just might have to modify it to get more flow.
