pick a spot on your hood, check to see if you can mount the actual bolt piece into something solid underneath, when you find a spot make sure you line up everything perfect, take a drill and drill a hole into your hood and into the frame. then install the pins.

Re: how do you install hood pins?

a buddy of mine, TSC, says "easier to mount the studs, then put a glob of grease on them, shut your hood then drill where the middle of the grease mark is at"
then he said
"or if you dont have greese, just slam the hood really hard and it will leave dents where you need to drill lol"

Re: how do you install hood pins?

It's better to drill from the top side down so the edges of the hole don't ruin the finish on the top side. You'd also want to put some masking tape over the area where you're drilling so you don't scratch or crack the surface.

Re: how do you install hood pins?

No welding! They're plates that have holes in 3 spots where stock bolts go for your fenders and the top two on your headlight rails.

If I wanted to go away from pins, I'd have no holes drilled, and they're easier to work with if you ask me...
