is there any mods for 3400 too use the stock alum. heads and the sfi manifold, or iis there another manifold out there to use in the fiero without too much computer changes. or for the use of a carburetor.
i can find a lot of 3400 with low miles the 3.4 are getting old and cant find any without 140k miles. |

I'm looking at performing the same mod, I found a monticarlo 3.4 with very few miles on it with the computer and harness. I'm trying to fiure out if I want to take this route, let me know if you find something out. [email protected]

The water pump and plenum for the aluminum heads will not fit in the P-body. The shock/strut tower is dead in the road.
The water pump issue can be overcome by using the earlier one, along wqith the early timing cover. The intake is another matter. I've seen one that was fabricated and worked. It wasn't very pretty.... The iron heads can be upgraded to run VERY well, even with the larger engine. |

YES! You can kick ass with a 3400, even while using the old 2.8 iron heads. Check out what this guy did:
