Squeaks/Grinds on Right Turns
Anyone got any clue what I gotta do to get rid of the noise?
Squeaks/Grinds around front axle only when driving and the steering wheel is turned clockwise even a little. It seems like its something with the suspension, but if I turn the steering wheel clockwise, go outside and bounce the front end, there's no noise. Could it be something with the steering system?

But having this problem with an Acura Legend, I believe you have a C/V joint problem. This part is suffers lots of stress in any vehicle, but it's even worse on a FWD car because the steering puts additional strain on it. This is not an easy part to break. If it is broken, either a C/V boot has a tear in it( which lets moisture in and wears the C/V joint quickly) or the car has been abused. |

aye, it could be but you might notive this move when driving, there might be a small piece of dirst stuck in a seal in the power stearing box, you will be surprized what dirt can make for noises. Other than that you might was to grease the fittings, if there are any, in the front suspension, There could be a million differnt things, this is a problems that is hard to diagnose without dribing.looking at the automibile

Creaking sound too?
I am experiencing a creaking sound coming from under my ZX3 when I turn to the right. There is hardly any creaking when I turn to the left. The creaking noise occurs as I turn right and the suspension travels over bumps or vibrations in the road. The noise doesnt occur when I shake the car or turn the steering wheel side to side when I drive straight. It doesnt appear to be a driveline problem or brake problem either.
It seems to me that I have either a loose exhaust hanger or connection that is creaking or some suspension bushing or component, spring/strut noise, or engine mount noise. I will be diagnosing it this weekend to see what it is and follow up with post. Thanks, Mike |

Re: Squeaks/Grinds on Right Turns
Sounds like it could possibly be a CV joint...CV's are what allow the axle to move with the suspension, hence the creak, and right side CV's always go first (on LHD cars at least) due to the fact that you always take right hand turns much sharper then left in normal driving.
