Custom taillight help

well, iv looked online forever. I do not see anywhere where you can buy clear (european style) taillights. So im thinking about making my own. Now, my thinking goes as: the colors on the taillight (red, yellow, ect) are painted on from the inside. And if i got that plastic part off, i could sand blast/sand paper/whatever to remove the paint, put it back on.. and be gold.

has anyone ever tried this? or know of a place that sells clearouts?

im not sure thats how your tail lights are setup. the only car i know of that can do that is the transams

customsaturn.com has a buy-in for saturn altezzas. There is no set date on when they will be built and ready to go, but you will get a much better price for them than the regular price if you enter. This is probably the closest you will see clear lenses for our great cars. If you try this idea of sanding and such, let us know how it goes. I may do it if it works well.
