Red face brake warning light

I have a 1991 cavalier over 192,000 miles, the brake warnng light came on last week and would not go off unless I put my fooot on the brakes but as soon as I would start back driving( accelerating) again the light would come on. Now this week the light stays on. Use to be that the light went out as soon as I let down the brake release. Can any one help?

Check your brake pads for wear, more the inner pad as the outer is passive on the floating caliper and also check you fluid level!
