Vaccume location

I have no Idea how to locate the acuated vacumme on my 1990 4.3 that everybody talks about and also the proceedure to test the vac like step by step I'm not to familar with this work

The acuated vacumme ( I will assume you mean the vacuum actuator for the 4WD) is located under the battery box. The switch that controls it is on the transfer case.

You will need a vacuum guage to do any checking, do you have one?

no I don't have vacuum gauge and I just found out I needed one about five minutes ago is there a allterative?

the almighty finger :-) 1st i'd look to see if large vacuum diaphram connected to cable leading to front diff, is sucking in to pull cable. if not prob is vacuum line between it transfer case vac switch. if it moves, follow line from it to vac switch atop transfer case. then the other back from switch to vac ball. large 1 connects ball to engine vac connection. pull 1 and only one off anywere to feel for vac. then put back.
