91 caravan brake failure

Hi, i have a 91 gran caraven le and the brakes sometimes fail for awile they dont work, the lights on the dash come on (yellow antilock, red park brake) and the pedal stiffens abit and you have to really stand on it to get any braking power. It's like theres air in the master cylender but there's not. The local Chrysler dealership has serviced them and there was a recall but they did the updates and said they work fine. When they fail, usually the next day, or even if ive been on the highway along time without using the brakes, the lights on the dash will go out and the brakes will work fine. It seems to occur more in fresh snowfall. Ive had a new antilock servo put in, lots of brake work done. I'm at a loss as to what the problem is. Can i put in an aftermarket brake system? I dont care for anti-lock much and am willing to part with the Anti-lock system. can anyone tell me if this is possible/plausible?

Did the shop check the brake booster? No air in the master cylinder doesn't mean there is no air in the lines, have them bled
Perhaps you should find another shop

Re: 91 caravan brake failure

You might want to check for a vacuum leak in the hose going to the brake booster (maybe its cracked).
