96 windstar door unlock problem

Hi all, new member, great forums with a bunch of answers!

anyways, I was installing a remote starter on the windstar, and got it working alright, and then wanted to hook in the door lock/unlock wires into the present keyless entry system (factory installed)
I have done something, (dammit) and now you can't unlock the doors with the buttons on the door panels or anything. I removed the wires that I had hooked up, to get that out of the equation, but it's still a no-go.

I took out the lower console underneath the heater area, and got my voltmeter on the module that sends voltage out, and when I use the unlock switch, a relay in the module clicks and voltage is present on the unlock wires.

No switches work with any lock in the vehicle, so there must be something at a common area. I fear that I may have hooked the polarity up wrong at my relay/fuse box, and maybe a diode has been blown somewhere.

If anyone has any info, it would be appreciated. You may even beat me about the head first.
