cylinder head and cam

I was wondering if anyone out there could help me on this one.. i have a 97 sc1 and im seriously thinking of swapping in a ported and polished cylinder, giving my valves a 3 angle, and sending out a spare cam to crower to get redone. My question is does anyone know the stock compression ratio of the stock head? and once the cam comes back from crower, will it still work with the stock rollers? Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: cylinder head and cam

the stock compression of the SOHC should be about 9.3 IIRC. you would need to ask crower about the cam.

all that work.... have you consided a DOHC swap?

Re: Re: cylinder head and cam

yeah i considered it but i like the single cam setup.. the guys at the dealership say that the tranny is more sporty and that the sohc is more reliable into the higher kilometers. I'd realy like to go all the way with the sohc and see where it gets me.
