95 Road Master, flushing heater core and hose values ???

Before going thru the monumental task of heater core relacement, I was wondering if water pressure might be enough to clean the core out. The
pressure would consist of house hold water pressure thru a garden hose.
I do have barb type garden hose attachments that will hook to many types of hose diameters.
Also will check the heater hose value. Is this controlled by a vaccum motor? Where in the vehicle is this value. Anything else in the heater hose to/from the core I should check (minus the t-stat)?

Do not use full water pressure on the heater core, there is a good chance of causing it to leak. I would try one of the common engine flush products first. If the car has automatic temperature control you probably don't have a heater shuoff valve. Are you 100% sure that problem isn't in the control system? If both heater hoses are hot with the engine warmed up you might have a stuck air door.

Good thought about the air door Chris... (I just have to find it) I will check that today...
