cop that almost got knocked out..

so i was goin down the hwy, when green hit i kinda pressed on the gas a bit hard, and there was a cop off duty going home, he was sorta in a pissy mood, and wanted to pass me, so i kinda slowly pressed the gass more, its a 45 mph speed limit... he yells out the window, you want me to teach you how to fucking drive? im like sure come teach me.. not realizing it was a cop, but after a while i saw his uniform and it was a sheriff, so red light comes on i stop, hes still looking at me... he almost passes, he saw me stop, and stopped, he backed up without looking at his rearview mirror, thinking no one was behind him, he was actually recklessly driving also, he hit the person behind him in his own veichle...so he stops me in the middle of traffic, and says to fucking stay right here... (yeah the cussing is real) ... i say why are you cussing... he said cuz i fuckin feel like it. He calls a local police officer, he comes along pulls me out of traffic, they were all focusing on the accident the sheriiff did... later on i ask the local cop, real nice guy, i know he didnt give a flying shi*t, but the sheriff guy comes over saying lemme see your license (no registration or insurance asked) and he looked up my plate, i took my dads car for a ride, mbenz clk320, saying whos car is this, i said my dads, i was taking a ride... i said what did i do, you were reckless driving, and pressing on the gas like burning your tires or someshit i forgot the exact name he said.. i said no i did not reckless drive, but i did kinda speed off, i was only got 50 on a 45, he said bullshit you were at 60.. i said i swear to god, i cannot swear anymore and i did say GOD, i did not pass 50, then he goes bullshit again... im like please dont put this on my insurance my dads business, is at risk, ill do anything you want, ill pay for the guys damage you did to him, he goes to the other cop talking it over, comes back hands me my license, saying that go your done, i dont feel like dealing with your ass, he said go, i was waiting till he said it again... he yells "GOODBYE!"

Um, you do realize that speeding up upon being overtaken is a ticketable offence in a lot of places, right? I know it is where I live, anyway. So he could have got you with that . . .
Does seem funny that he caused an accident trying to stop you, though. Cops are just like any of us, they have their bad days, too, and looks like you caught one on a bad day and got away very, very lucky.
Me, I'd have given you a ticket, because I'm a dick that way . . .

That sucks. Especially for the cop, he needs put away his stresses and frustations while in uniform. Kind of funny about hitting that person though. You were being a little bit of a smart ass and I would NEVER have offered to pay for the damages HE did. But good story nonetheless

plus the damn sheriff was off DUTY! he was in a privite veichle, not his regular sheriff car... he was goin home... he said now he has an accident on his record

I would have floored it as soon as he got into the accident. If he tried to go after you, then it's leaving the scene of an accident for him. Plus you don't have to obey an off-duty cop.

exactly what i was thinking... sheriff doesnt cover that area where he pulled me over.. the local PD do... but i told the same thing to my parents about running, they said no... he got out the car, and he was fuckin busy with the other car and ignoring me...

I just would have left when the light turned green. You didnt do anything wrong. And I wouldnt have admitted to going over 45 either. He didnt have a radar gun, whats he gonna do? He cant pull you over in his own car, and say.. it looked like you were speeding, and Im off duty, so Im gonna call somebody to come give you a ticket... lol.. yeah right. I would laugh in his face... and then leave real fast in case there was actually something he could do. but anyways, fuck him. hes a dumbass for trying to act all hardcore like a damn robocop. And I personally would never ever stop for anybody that wasnt in a cop car. You can get a police uniform from anywhere. But not a cop car. And just so you know... never ever ever ever ever ever ever offer to ever ever ever ever ever pay for some dumbass's accident just because he's a cop, and a dumbass. Never. ever.

similar thing happened to me. i was coming from work with my secretary/friend in the car on the interstate and soon as i get off the exit, theres tons of traffic and an accident. the cops had totally stoppped traffic eastbound, mind you this is atlanta at rush hour, (bad mistake for them). anyways i was maybe 15 cars back and sw tons of people taking the shoulder because it was right in front of another exit. i hop onto the shoulder just to get ahead of some people and then i hop back in about 3 cars away. the cop sees people cutting and a secs after i get back in lane and stops the cars on the shoulder. i laugh and stuff cause they got caught, then he points at the 2 cars in front of me and myself to "Stay RIGHT THERE!", im thinking this is BS, yea i was on the shoulder he didnt see me, and the 2 cars in front didnt do anything at all. he just did that cause he was pissed. the other two cars pulled to the shoulder like he asked and when it got to me, i was pissed and had to be somewhere important in 20min. i looked ahead at the empty stretch of highway until more traffic was there around a huge bend (about 3/4 mile) and said "fuck it". the two cops werent even in their car. i asked my friend if she had a problem with me going and she say "as long as you dont get us caught", then i just coasted like i was pulling in front of the other cars on the side, and he looked back at me and assumed thats what i was doing. as soon as he turned back around towards the accident, i hit it and took off. got about 1/2 a mile b4 i saw other traffic and then i hopped off the hwy and took the back roads the rest of the way. that damn cop was just pissed that he couldnt catch the ppl who really were taking the shoulder so he pushed up on cars who werent. not the first time i ran from a cop but definately was the one that pissed me off the most.
