damage after throttle body cleaned?

i sprayed my throttle body with some cleaner, STP to be exact, then afterwards it took about 6 tries to get it started. the cleaning liquid had pooled up inside the intake manifold. it runs fine now, but does that do anything to the engine or is it ok?

Re: damage after throttle body cleaned?

It probably just flooded the car...if it was made by STP it isn't going to ruin your car or they'd get sued BIG time. I'm sure it is fine.

I would have pulled the throttle body off myself. Think of all that gunk flowing through your motor.
