ok so i replaced the alternater in my car tha other day and i could not get it out through the bottom or the top so i went behind and under the throttle body and all of that stuff but i accidentlyy pull out my speedometer cable and now i don't know how fast i am going what could be wrong i put it back in the hole where it was and nothing help meeeee

make sure that the cable wasnt pulled from behind the cluster too...try jiggling the cable where it goes in the tranny and make sure it's secured w/a clip...or try driving without the cluster for a couple of blocks and see if the cable actually turns when you drive...

There is a little notch that has to go into a slot in the tranny. If that doesn't go in, it won't work. I just replaced my speedo cable the other day.
Take a flashlight and look down the little tube that goes into the tranny and find out where the slot it, then line up the notch on the cable to that slot, and it should slip right in. |
