Sorry this is a long story but i dont know how else to explain my problem.
Ok... I got my rodeo off ebay about 1.5 years ago and i love it. This is the first real problem i've had with it so far besides changing the timing belt. I have a 1994 v6 2wd standard trans rodeo never wrecked (except mailboxes) and i have kept up with all the oil changes and check my fluids weekly I was driving through town at 30-40 mph; when I stoped at a red light my clutch pedal went all the way to the floor and became stuck there. I was able to start it in first gear and make it home from there keeping it at about 3000rpms. The next day when i woke up the clutch was no longer stuck to the floor but was completely loose. My dad recommended i change the master clutch cylinder, so i did that and it worked fine afterwards. About 2 days later i'm driving through town again, coasting in neutral to an upcomming red light. When i try to shift into first my clutch gets jammed to the floor again. So i start it in 1st gear and drive to a nearby friends house. Once i make it there i kill the car, get out to check all my fluid levels, they are all normal, no leaks i can see. (keep in mind my pedal is still jammed to the floor while i'm doing this) About 5 min later i get in the car and i'm able to pull the clutch pedal up, but then it becomes jammed in the up possision! so now i cant even start it (the clutch has to be down to start) That night i get it towed to my house, the next morning i try to play with the clutch again, and it becomes completely lose! And now when i try to start it, even in neutral, my engine makes this weird clanking noise that is verry hard to describe. I'm scared to start it even for a few seconds thinking i may break something else. Does anyone know what this could be? any opinions? anything would be usefull at this point. |
