weird problem after 100,100 miles

eclipse 96 rs. recently i've been having problems with my car right when i start driving it. in the morning i always start my car for 5 mins before i drive. i have a automatic and when i change my gear from P to R to back out and step on the gas, my car just reaves and don't go anywhere, i would have to step on the gas for maybe 4-5 seconds before my car jerks and goes, same with my D gear too. the best way i can describe it is like a delay reaction, and the jerking is like if you reave your engine on N then drop it quick to D. this only happens when i start driving and goes away about 5 mins later, then it drives perfectly fine. someone told me it might be the transmition filter but i don't know, please help!

i had a problem like that in my truck. It was a hole or break in the tranny fluid lines.

The very first thing I would do is check my trans fluid level.

i had this problem in my dad's oldsmobile intrigue he used to have...of course back then i didn't have my car, and the thing had a 3.5L V6 w/ 215hp stock and i beat the living hell out of it daily and i started to have tranny problems like the one you just described lol....ended up being the torque converter for THAT problem...as for the other problems, let's just say my dad had to spend close to 3k on a new.................................yeah, you know what it is lol

Well since your going to be changing the tranny fluid you should change the filter anyways. So try doing that and see if it helps the problem.
