Windshield Wiper Transmission

My wipers went out the last time it snowed. I peeked under the cowl and the linkage/transmission is disconnected. I got a new/used set from a junkyard. I started taking off the wiper arms before I got underneath the cowl and the darn things don't want to come off. I already got the bolts off but that's all for now. I've pulled and tried to pry them off but they're not moving at all. Anyone know a way to get those things off? I ran out of ideas pretty quick. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to go to a parts supplier and ask for a battery terminal puller for top post batteries. They are cheap and will do the job.Donot pry or you will break.
