staling

my gf's 97 sephia stales when you stop pressing the gas. fairly new fuel filter. her uncle slammed on the gas a few times and cleared the filter and ran ok for a few weeks but started staling again. if you have ne ideas please help. ( i dont like her having to drive my 99 grand prix gt)

Try putting some fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank before your next fill-up. Sometimes it takes a couple of times to clean them. Or it could be your Torque converter clutch solenoid. I would try the injector cleaner first.
