Civic Brake Upgrade

Hey, i have a 95 civic dx, with rear drum brakes, which i want to upgrade to disk brakes. I was wondering if anyone can tell me prices/quality of either the AEM brake upgrade (and if it'll work on my car, it's made for ex), and just buying rear axels and brake components from a gsr or whtaever. please let me know...thanks...

-Mike

call your local salvage yards. besides integras check out civic si's and crx si, they have rear disk breaks too. should probably be around $2-300. do a search on rear disk break conversion, there should be a few with more info.

yeah do what Quetzolcotl said because it will end up costing $1000 less than the aem rear disc conversion and with the rear discs from an integra or civic you can also add those cross drilled rotors or those aem ones to make it look like the same thing, but not at the same price.

It might be a good idea to get a bigger master cylinder from a GSR...

i don't want to upgrade the front until i can do the back the same, if i have big rotors in the front, the back would look dumb. Once i have 4 wheel disks, i'll upgrade to slotted rotors.
