bad transmission

I have a 95PA Ultra that the transmission does not engage, or whatever in d, 3, 2 but kinda works ( seems to slip a bit) in low and reverse... my question is, i am assuming i need a rebuilt transmission .. what SHOULD the cost be, if i took it to a dealer is socal? Is a dealer the way to go, or are there some actual reasonable, honest chains out there?

The dealer is probally high.Call any transmission shops and get prices for rebuilding that transmission. There are some do good work, some might do bad work. You might want to get an used transmission from a junkyard if it is any good. One from Jaspar is about $1,900.00 with a 3 year warranty,Check any Jaspar dealers in your area on that.
