Anyone know anything about midi?

I used WinGroove, cause I loved the affects, and the purcussion, but after I formatted my computer, I re-installed everything, and I had WinGroove working for about 3-4 weeks, then all of a sudden, I get all these errors when I try and play. The thing is, I get the SAME error when trying to un-install it, and just re-install it (using the .exe). I can't even just delete it, something's f*cked.

I've contacted the people who made it, twice, and I get no reply (early december, and late december). Does anyone know?

If it helps, the error I get is this:

(header
16 bit Windows Subsystem
(main)
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

---------------------

huh? I'm running XP, Not MS-DOS, fool!

Does anyone know what to do? I've run a search for the .nt file, and I don't remember finding it.

Re: Anyone know anything about midi?

off the top of my head. you might have to run the program in a compatiblity mode. to do this you must find the executable for the program and then click on properties. i think it's somewhere in there. you can "run as" windows 2000, 98, NT or whatever. Maybe it helps... :-(

Re: Anyone know anything about midi?

FIxed this on a clients machine before.

Using the help from this link, and a bit of logic :
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;324767

I came up with this:

1. Search for autoexec.nt, note the path
2. Start -> Run
3. Type: expand C:\[path to the file on your hard drive]\autoexec.nt_ c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt

Try running your program again and should be sweet.
