Whats wrong with my tranny?

Hey I was wondering if someone could tell me what might be wrong with my tranny. When I shift from 1st to 2nd works great 2nd to 3rd depending with high revs it grinds a little then goes in, 3rd to 4th works great, 4th to 5th same prob as 2nd to 3rd. when I gear down all works good until I go from 2nd to 1st then she grinds real good unless i let the revs drop all the way, ya I dont know to much about the intricacy's of cars but Im learnin and I want to do myself but I sure need some advice please everyone in my family are chev\ford nuts so they ain't to inclined to try and help Inf anyone could take the time to advise me it would sure be appreciated.

you have the classic, all common synchro problem. your synchros are going bad... i dont think that is somethin you would fix on your own, in my opinion that would be like doing a valve job on your own. eventually ur gonna need a new or rebuilt tranny

You acn have it fixed at any Transmission shop. Won't be cheap but it will be fixed.
Also there really is not any reason to go from 2nd to 1st unless you are comming to a complete stop or near stop. Anything over 15-20 MPH is way to hard to put it back into 1st. Just my
