fuel injector?

Thank you in advance for your help. My problem started out with a bad fuel leak out of one of my injectors. Jeep ran great before i started(but the leak). Replaced O-rings. Now no leak. Jeep runs like crap. Think its running ritch, black smoke out the tail pipe. what did i do damage an injector? Are the o-rings on the bottom leaking?

Is it idling rough along with the black smoke? could be the map sensor if so. Maybe it got disconnected. Or, maybe you did in fact damage something...maybe some others have some ideas

Re: fuel injector?

Sounds like a bad injector. Disconnect the electrical connector 1 at a time while its running, if you disconnect the bad 1 it won't make any change to the idle- good 1's will. Is it possible you mixed up the electrical connectors?

Re: fuel injector?

This also happened the first time we replaced the o-rings. Found a broken tube(vac?)that runs behind valve cover, replaced it and all was fine. Hope this helps.
