Re: Aem pulleys and aem intake

The red color that you either means they got their valve cover powder coated or it's an h22 conversion (search the forums if you don't know what that means). The short ram intake you should be able to install yourself, I have the same car and can't wait till i have the money to get one (im in highschool). As far as the pulleys, doesn't seem like you'd have the tools to do work like that so take it to a couple different places (pep boys, sears automotive center, etc.) and get quotes, then take the best one.

EDIT : search JDM motors and look up all the different engines. they can run $2000-$3000, so unless you really are needing the extra power it's prolly better to just mod your engine...

Re: Aem pulleys and aem intake

Around me, Sears automotive, pepboys, and such wouldn't install aftermarket mods, so you usually have to find a auto performance shop(which there seem to be quite a few) and have one of them do it...if it is beyond your level of expertise...

I'd have to agree with Ehscrewdude, the intake is rather easy to install, and would be a good place to start working on your own car and learn a bit more about it.
But the pulleys I'm assuming are probably beyond your current ability.
As far as price, it really depends, call a few places and see what they charge. Try and avoid places that charge $60-75 an hour on labor...that is just ridiculous IMO.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
