Unhappy 2000 maxima exhaust

My Wife's Maxima Ses Light Came On Didnt Blink Then Stayed On Then After 40 Miles Blinked 4 Times, Then Started To Chug While Driving. Then Noticed The Exhaust Smelled Like Bad Eggs Any Ideas? Could This Be The Catalytic Converter?

Yes. CAT soaked due to nonburned fuel. Many reasons for that: time for maintenance checkup.

I really hope you're joking. Maxima's trump Jetta's in quality. VW has known problems with Jetta/A4 quality and quality in general. To each his own though, I guess.

WELL THE ONLY THING THAT THE TWO HAVE IS COMMON IS THAT THEY TRY AND STAY WITH THE SAME BODY STYLE. BUT THE VR6 IS A VERY GOOD ENGINE. I HAVE HAD 4 VW'S AND NO BIG PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF THEM AND MOSTLY ALL OF THEM HAD OVER 200K MILESON THEM. BUT THRASHER TAKE A LOOK AT THIS VW. CAN NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO ATTACH IT TO THIS REPLY BUT GO INTO GALLERY AND LOOK AT THE VW IMAGE CALLED CONCEPT R.

Re: 2000 maxima exhaust

"Some" things are different: Maximas drivers door contains more electronics than a VW.
