no the b16a is a DOHC not a SOHC. There are too many engines that fit that description for anyone to be able to tell you; need more info... (it's a D-series though)

what motor would u advise me to swap to?? i have an automatic and i want to make it manual. what would i have to do to make it a manual and how much would it cost ??

in all honesty... build your swap, sell your car and buy a cheap manual that has a lot of miles, or a blown motor, youll save so much more money that way. If you were to try and convert to manual, it could cost you about 1,000 EXTRA dollars that u could use to make your swap better. As for what kind of swap?? B18C1 (but im biased), i think they have the most potential.

ya man for all the money it would take you to do the automatic to manual and D to B series swaps you could buy a whole other car. if yourr car is a 92-95 then its a d16z6, if its a 1996-2000 its a d16y8.

sell your automatic civic and get a new one wither either a b16 or a b18 already in it. youre car was doomed at birth : \
