Does anyone have a 2005 Z71? If so, looking for any feedback as well as modifications made. Additionally, any good links for parts, wheels, etc.
Thanks! |

New '05 Trouble Memory Seats
Have a new '05 Z71 and have had difficulty with the memory seats. Neither the drivers side memory buttons (1 or 2) seem to maintain the saved setting, nor do the keys or remote. Wanted to see if anyone else is having a similar problem with the '05. Also wondering if I'm correct in assuming that the remote controls should be able to trigger the memory setting as well as the driver memory buttons - my understanding from the sales person.

Hi there. I do love this vehicle and hope you do too. In terms of your questions, I believe I may be able to assist. First of all, the remote does not have any influence on the memory of the seats. It is purely an unlock and lock function.
The seat memory does work, however, I do not really care for that accessory. Yet, on your steering wheel, you have the buttons for the vehicle settings that appear in the dash where your odometer is. One of the settings is easy seat on/off. You need to get to this function and turn it on. This way, every time you turn off the vehicle and exit, the driver seat only will recess back. Additionally, you have the 2 buttons on the driver door. If I recall, you need to set the set to your likings, and then hold the button until you hear a beep and the light blinks. Check these things out. Your manual can assist too. Hope it helps. Otherwise, do you like the truck? When did you get it? Any modifications to it? |

I have a 2005 Police Pursuit Tahoe and wonder how it compares to the Z71 speed and performance wise.
My upgrades include center console, PPVs are decontented and don't come with consoles, and an MP3 player. I did install a K&N air filter but will probably remove it because it seems to really effect the shift points dramatically and not in a good way. I'm slso not so sure I'm happy with the BIG sucking sound it makes!! I didn't seem to notice that dramatic of a difference when I put one on my Trans Am so I' m probably going to NIX it.
