I wonder if this will work on my 93 Rodeo 3.2 v6. I have to change the starter and sure don't want to remove the exhaust. What do you think? Unless you know for certain that it won't work, I am going to check that out tomorrow. It sounds like a great trick.

I changed the soleniod contacts in a 97 Rodeo starter for 10 bucks and fixed the problem instead of buying a whole new starter.

The removal of his starter was as stated. But he had a 3" body lift. I'm not sure you could have gotten the starter out in this way without the body lift.
