allthough i have read the starter can't be removed without taking
the exhaust loose it can. with frame suported raise engine about two inches it will come out lot's of luck gonzo. |

with the heat shelds removed engine lifted starter will come out

I changed the soleniod contacts in a 97 Rodeo starter for 10 bucks and fixed the problem instead of buying a whole new starter.
The removal of his starter was as stated. But he had a 3" body lift. I'm not sure you could have gotten the starter out in this way without the body lift. Joe |
