can that be right?

if youre gunning it around town you'll get less but i don't think 8. Id say 12-14. It's not like your going to be running around with high rpms anyways. The gears are wide enough where 3k in third gear would be around 50 miles per hour, and you'd be getting not great, but not bad gas mileage. However the wonderful 6-Speed gets almost 30 miles per gallon on the highway in top gear so there are weakness's but there are advantages also.

its an automatic with 87000 miles on it. it also has all the options of the time except leather seats. it has one bubbled up spot on the paint where it has chipped and one scratch on the underside of the spoiler, it has t-tops and everything. there are also some aftermarket rims on it. it started up fine and sounded good. i didnt get to see how it "really" drove because the guy forgot to take the park brake off. i dont think it will hurt anything but the pads cause we drove it only for like 10-15 min. but he wants to sell it for $5000 i can probably talk him down to 4500 and then hopefully someone will buy my 95 V6 camaro. im thinking about selling it for 2000-2500. (i got it for 2500 and have more money in it though)

My cousin (94 z28 auto) says he gets avg 21mpg on the highway, he's not sure what in the city. I can tell you he doesn't putt around much either so you be the judge.

Re: 94 z28 question

lol, he drove it with the parking brake on???? well first you need some new parking brake shoes, and yes thats probly a main reason the mileage is so bad. but on top of that, when was the last time it had a tune up? it could just be running like crap. and all you need are some fresh parts to get it up and running right again.

Re: 94 z28 question

i love the six speed on the highway, it just seems to be so much easier on the motor to be running like 70 mph at 1700-1800 rpms

Re: 94 z28 question

Couldn't you all tell he had the parking brake on? My grandmother had a 94 Camaro, and she left the parking brake on one day in her driveway, my uncle got in and drove, and he could tell pretty fast because we could smell the pads burning or whatever you would call them going away.
