Checking check engine light codes
1993 F150 XL with a check engine light that comes on everyone once in a while and then will turns off a little bit later. I was wondering if there was any way to check that code without plugging the vehicle into a computer? Is there some way of checking just using the ignition?

Re: Checking check engine light codes
I think that you need to have a OBDII system for Autozone to read. The OBDII requirement started with the 1996 model year. A few vehicles had it a year or so earlier, but I doubt that the 1993 had it.

Re: Checking check engine light codes
not sure if you can pull code with out the scanner. However do not let autozone sell you any parts untill you are sure you need them. They will sell you a shopping cart full of them if you let them. And 99% of them you will not be able to return.
