Hard to show you how to to do it without photos, but here is the best I can suggest. The mechanism you need to release is in the front of the hood and you cannot see it for the grill. I believe the only way you can see it is to crawl under the front and shine a light towards the top of the area in front of your radiator (very top / front of car) You will be looking for a black cable that is running in the front of the car, it runs from the drivers side into the front center of the car. There is a large V shaped support in the very front of your car. It hooks into the release at the top of it. This cable is the release cable, and you will need to get pliers etc. up in there someway and pull back on the end of it, or the mechanism to release it. I assume it is not broke off inside your car, but if it is you can simply grab it with pliers and pull. One thing though, I have seen people think their cable was broken when in fact it was rusted and would not open. Once you get it opened you can simply oil it and it would be alright. If it is broken they are easy to install. Uses minimal tools. Good luck.

i have never tryed to do this on a corsica but on my blazer it is very very very easy : ... all you have to do is know where you are pointing a larger end screwdriver and click you are in... but on a corsica i think that if all the plastic is still in there is wont be as easy ... but hey its worth a try... you roughly know where you put your hand to pop the hood so if you are looking at the hood a little to the right side of where you normaly put your hand there is a little bent peice of metal... that the cable normaly sits in... you can sometimes get a screwdriver onto that and push it and the hood will open... but if you got your hood all nicly set up you might not have enough room .... but i have looked in the haynes manual and in the other 2 modification books that i have and they all say nothing about how to get a stuck hood open...
