To body kit or not to body kit that is the question?

Well, today I was on the web while I was at work of course. and found a bodykit for my car actuly I found 2 of them. one was fiberglass and the other was Urithane. the Fiberglass one was $179 with $150 Shipping and the Urithane one was $235 with $60. I dont like fiberglass. and I never will probibly becuse Im accedent prone and I give it a week and im going to hit something. But the Urithane one is kinda ugly.. no its really ugly at least to me.. I dont like bodykits that have too much to them. but anyway the main thing is that I cant find any Urithane body kits for my car. and Im so frustrated becuse I have a tight budget. I dont know. if anyone has any suggestion please let me know im about too loose my mind.

Re: To body kit or not to body kit that is the question?

Save your money and keep the stock look - maybe that money would be better spent on a new paintjob, engine work, or maybe some new audio equipment. A tasteful bodykit looks nice, but i'd say not worth the price paid for them, especially if you're on a tight budget. The money is better spent elsewhere

However, if you're absolutely set on getting one, get the flexible kit - and i'm sure there are plenty of kits. Do you have the HB or CRX?

I say skip the bodykit and save up your $ for repairs when you get in an accident .
But seriously, just take your time and don't rush into anything. I'm sure there are more than a few people who can tell you where to look for the urethane kits. Also check out here to see body kits available and then do a search around the net and see if you can find them in urethane once you find one you like: http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/

i'm all for bodykits...as long as it is tasteful...gives ur car an up to date look and makes u get a paint job...unless u eant to roll around primered...but most people prefer the WW kit but i like this one the best for HBs

but if u have the money...make sure u get it molded in and some body work done too...but make sure u have the money to get everything done b4 u put it on

dropping the car will look better and handle better - bodykit only looks good, but you can't lower much before you scrape everything, i mean the civics are already low enough ^_^

save your money!

if you have a bodykit on your car and you dont lower it...its going to look retarded not lower

i hate people who think that...it just looks like a wrose 4x4

and i dont think bodykits look bad, just not to extreme ones

do whatever you think you would like more, but im going to tell you that i like the stock look with a lip on it. so i would buy a lip put it on and use the extera money (save some) and do some simple motor work. if you have an si get an intake , header and exhaust, if you have dpfi convert to mpfi.

i like body kits personally and agree with BLU CIVIC that if u get one, make sure it's tasteful. and defintely get it painted!

did anyone ever see the Pimp My Ride mtv show where the guy had his kit on with double stick tape! that was awesome! LOL
