help! no heat,

my 89 crx dx's heater blower moter is shot, i know its the moter because, 1 i tested the power, to the switch and moter itselfe and the light came on, and 2 right now theres a direct hot and ground wire commen from and going to the blower and it wont kick on, if i hit it hard enough, it will flicker on then back off, the queston is, how do i get the blower moter out?? it has a/c and thats whats causing the difficulty, how do i get the evaporator out of my way??

You have to take the glove box out to get to the blower motor. I don't have the picture to post, but maybe someone else will.

Re: help! no heat,

I hate to say this, but your not gonna be able to just pop it right out under the dash. The only solution is to take the dash out which is not hard at all. The whole heater assembly lies directly behind the dash and stretches towards the top so it's a good size. This will give you enough space to move around in to get the motor out and put it back in. Took me maybe 45 minutes to take my dash off. GL

Re: help! no heat,

well me and my g pa just twisted on the whole assembly and it cleared the floor boards, and from what ive seen if you moter hasnt gone out yet, it will soon, because 3 bone yards and 4 cas, not one had the blower moter left in it, and they run about 45 bucks
