how do i take off air cleaner??

im trying to change my battery and just found out i have to go trough the front wheel well to do so. but i can't figure out how to remove air cleaner? is it an alan wrench or do the bolts come off from underneath when i take off the wheel sheild thing? thanks in advance.

All you have to do to remove the battery is:
Disconnect the battery cables, (-) first from the battery. Remove the battery hold-down clamp, and lift out the battery. Installation is the reverse of removal. Hook up the (-) battery cable last.

Is your Intrepid a 98 or later model?
